Dr. Catherine Mungoma
Chairperson of CCARDESA board and member of Audit and compliance Committee
Dr. Mungoma holds an MSc and Phd in Plant Breeding and Cytogenetics from Iowa State University in the USA. Dr Mungoma brings a wealth of experience in governance, agriculture and development. She sits on several boards of directors including the Conservation Farming Unit, The Cotton Board, Development Commission and Total Land Care in Zambia. She served as a Director in the Department of Seed Control and Certification Institute, Zambia from 2009-2014. Prior to that she worked in several capacities as a maize expert for the Zambia Agricultural Research Institute, Department of Agriculture and FAO.
Prof. Abednego Dlamini

Professor Dlamini holds PhD specializing in Dairy Science, prevention of environmental pollution from dairy products (1993-1997) from University of Western Sydney (Australia). He is the substantive chairman of the national bio-diversity advisory committee for Swaziland. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Animal Science, faculty of Agriculture at the University of Swaziland. He has 29 years of university teaching, research and consultancy. He also authored and co-authored over 70 publications in refereed journals, local and international conference proceedings and consultancy reports all dealing with various aspects of Agriculture, livestock production and biotechnology.
Ms Puleng Pali
Chair of the HR and Governance Commitee and member of Audit and complience Committee
Ms Pali holds Master’s in Intellectual Property, 2013 – Africa University and Master’s in Women’s Law, 2012 – University of Zimbabwe. Ms Pali is currently working as the Chief Legal Officer (CLO), Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security since 2008 in Lesotho. She has worked as a Senior Crown Counsel from 2003-2008 at the same Ministry providing legal advice to government ministries and representing government in civil litigation. From 2001-2003 she worked for the Ministry of Law and Constitutional Affair – Attorney General’s Chambers as a crown counsel which among her key responsibility she was providing legal advice to government ministries and departments. As a vibrant multitasking woman, Ms Pali also serves in other responsibilities; she is a member of the Lesotho Agricultural College Governing Council, a member of the Gender Technical Committee, she is also a member of the Ministerial Management Team and a Member of the Ministerial Tender Panel.
Mrs Theresa Madziva
Chairperson of the Finance Committee and member of the Audit and Compliance Committee
Ms Madziva holds a National Diploma in Business Programming, which she obtained at Harare Polytechnic College in Zimbabwe, Bachelor of Commerce and Financial Management at the University of South Africa in South Africa (Pretoria) and a Master of Business Administration at the Nottingham Trent University in United Kingdom. She is currently working for Tobacco Research Board as an Assistant General Manager of Finance and Corporate Services and Company Secretary in Zimbabwe. She is the Head of the Finance Division and provides strategic and financial guidance to both staff and management to ensure that the company’s financial commitments are met. She also holds the duties as a Company Secretary and a Principal Pension Fund Officer. She has worked for other companies which includes; the Trinidad Industries as a Financial Controller, Company Secretary and Suburban medical Centre as an accountant among others. Ms. Madziva has strong experience in developing and implementing financial controls. Well versed in audits, actuarial valuations, regulatory compliance and pension fund administration.
Dr. Joao Mutondo

Dr. Mutondo holds BSc with Honors in Agronomy, at Eduardo Mondlane University (Mozambique), Masters in Agricultural Economics at University of Arkansas (USA) and a PhD in Agricultural Economics at Oklahoma State University (USA). He is an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at the Univesidade Eduardo Mondlane, Maputo, Mozambique. He also holds a position of research associate International Center for Water Economics and Governance in Africa (IWEGA) Dr Mutondo has diverse experience in the Agricultural fraternity. He worked for several universities as a lecturer, in local and international organizations as a researcher, senior researcher and project manager as well as in other intuitions as a director.
Dr. Vaohanginirina Ramaromisa

Dr. Ramaromisa is a polytechnician holding a Phd Degree in Electrical Engineering of INPL (National Institut Polytechnic of Lorraine) and a Euromaster’s in Information and Communication systems of CITCOM France. She is currently the General Secretary for the National Platform “Women Sustainable Development and Food Security” in Madagascar. She is also widely involved in promoting Biological Agriculture in in the country as the founder of NANARIVO Enterprise and Chair of LE VERT BIO. She brought a wealth of experience to the board as she Chaired the Board of Directors for the Group Economic Interest, Road and Building (GIE) in Madagascar from 2004-2006.
Ms Mmamakgaba Emily Mogajane
Member of CCARDESA Board HR and Governance Committee
Ms Mogajane holds Certificate in Senior Management Programme, Wits University and Harvard Business school, a Diploma in Dairy Husbandry and Milk Processing, Oenkerk, The Netherlands and a BVMCh: Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Surgery. Having 26 years of experience within agricultural field, Dr Mogajane has worked as a Deputy Director General Bio security, Food safety and disaster management from 2007-2011 and also became the Acting Director General, Department of Agriculture in 2008. Between 2006 and 2007 she managed to work for two organizations separately; working as a Manager, Rural development programme in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality and OIE Deputy Sub regional representative for SADC Botswana. She further worked as a Chief Director National Regulatory Services from 1996-2005. She also worked as the Director of Animal Health from 1995-1996 and furthered her job at Umtata, Eastern Cape province from 1989-1990. From 1990-1995 she was lecturing at Medical University Southern Africa (MEDUSA). She worked as a State Veterinarian in Molopo region, North West province from 1988-1989.
